Hi my name is Rhiannon and The Gifted Dancer was created out of my love of all thing dance and movement.
A little about me and how it all started. My first love was ballet, studying RAD ballet at my local dance school, I went onto study GCSE dance and fell in love with contemporary dance.
Not knowing what direction to take I studied performing arts at college and soon knew it wasn’t for me, so for further studies I went to Bath Spa university to study dance, choreography and dance for film. After freelancing and running my own dance school in the south west I completed a Masters degree from Bath Spa University I moved back home to the north east.
While freelancing and running my dance school in the South West I completed my Pilates teacher training, I mainly teach Pilates at the moment and love it.
Moving back to the North East I met ‘The Boy’ and he is the other half of The Gifted Dancers. Even though he has no experience in the dancing world, except from his alcohol influenced sessions on flares dance floor, he is the most incredible person I have met and so very supportive.
I suppose the idea of The Gifted Dancers came from my love of collecting all things dance. From greeting cards and post cards to ornaments and figurines. Even now in my early 30’s I cant help my self, if I see a quirky little ballerina figurine I have to have it.
